Diet and Irregular hours

Working irregular (night) hours is a fact of life in many sectors.  Just think of the police, care, also catering, transport and agriculture.  Research has shown that working night shifts has negative effects on employees’ health.  This together with travelling and working abroad makes eating healthily a particular challenge.  As an employer, we realize that working irregular and night shifts is unavoidable in our business.

It is, however, possible to survive irregular and night shift working in better shape, fitter and more alert.  By adapting diet, fatigue can be reduced by 25%.  An adapted diet improves sleep quality (once the night shift has finished), also eventual problems with serious headaches and fatigue.

How?

With its booklet “Healthy Diet and Irregular Hours” Marel is looking to contribute to better working conditions during irregular and night shift working.  In this booklet you get information on diet and working irregular (and night) hours together with inspirational recipes for healthy meals and snacks.  Take a look at the book here!
