Recognizing the signs of bullying
Bullying can be happening if you, your colleague or employee is repeatedly:

mocked

criticized
-
scolded
-
physically attacked
-
threatened
-
shut out and ignored
-
has his or her work made difficult
-
victim of practical jokes
-
named in gossip
If one or more of these types of behavior is taking place, bullying could be happening.
What can you do about bullying?
If you have a problem with bullying behavior within the team, the points below can help you with how you tackle it.

Set a norm and agree what is acceptable behavior.

Execute the norm. Tell managers and employees what acceptable behavior is.

Set a good example. Show how it should be done!

Intervene and take action. Have a good conversation with both the person bullied and the bully. Confront the bully with his or her behavior and sanction.

Offer support to the person bullied. Maintain good dialogue with the person bullied and see what the organization can do to allow him or her to work well again.
